Grá Heart Ceramic Cake Stand - Handmade Irish Gift Made in Cork
Grá is the Irish word for love, and this cake stand is made with plenty of it.
Charlie Mahon shapes each stand by hand from white earthenware clay, giving it a soft, frilled scalloped rim and a sturdy pedestal base. He then paints the signature Grá Heart freehand, with a rosy red and pink heart outlined in black, set on a white glaze scattered periodically with tiny blue dots. Because every heart is painted by hand, no two cake stands are exactly alike.
It’s made to be used and loved: Christmas mince pies, birthday cakes, Sunday scones or a pile of fresh buns on the kitchen counter. Between bakes, it’s pretty enough to leave out on display.
