🏺 Your Workshop & Studio Visit FAQs
Our studio is a fully operational workspace where Charlie creates all the Irish Pottery by hand. To ensure you have our full attention and a safe, personal experience—and to avoid interrupting the making process—all visits are strictly by appointment only.
The cost for the 2.5-hour workshop is €75.00 per person, including all materials. To ensure every participant receives dedicated guidance and instruction from Charlie, our intimate workshops are limited to a maximum of 6 people per session.
The workshop lasts 2.5 hours and is a hands-on exploration of the art and craft of pottery. You'll engage in various techniques, including slab rolling, cutting, coiling, decorating, and some throwing on the wheel, working with the same high-quality clay we use for our retail pieces.
You have two options:
- Kiln Firing: We will dry, glaze, and fire your items in our kiln. They will be available for pickup or we can arrange postage (postage cost varies).
- Take As Is: You can also choose to take your raw creations away with you on the day!
Please wear comfortable clothing that you won't mind getting clay on! This is a hands-on experience, and we encourage you to relax and enjoy the process.
Absolutely! While you are visiting for your experience, you are welcome to browse and purchase any of the finished Irish Pottery pieces available in the studio. It's the perfect opportunity to see and feel the full range of Charlie's work in person.
